On June 2 and 3, 2007 Southeast Paddlers hosted the 2007 national canoe and kayak flat water marathon team trials on Stone Mountain Lake located in Stone Mountain Park northeast of Atlanta. The USA Canoe/Kayak Marathon Team Trials serve as the selection event for the U.S. National Marathon Team members who will represent the U.S. at the International Canoe Federation Canoe-Kayak Marathon World Championships to be held in Gyor, Hungary in September 2007.

In addition to the Marathon Team Trials, Southeast Paddlers conducted the first Benefit Paddlethon for Children's Health Care of Atlanta. More information about this worthy event is available at the event web site.
